SundayWorld.co.za shows off its new look and introduces new kid on the blogosphere World of Parties

SundayWorld.co.za – a website synonymous with breaking celebrity news, views and gossip – recently re-launched with a design more in keeping with sister news site Sowetan LIVE.

The website’s user interface allows for integrated commenting and offers readers the opportunity to access the website directly from their Facebook or Google + accounts.

In understanding that the majority of its readers primarily access the Internet from their cell phones, Avusa Media LIVE (AML) set to work on developing a new Sunday World mobisite which launched simultaneously with the new-look website. “The low bandwidth mobisite automatically adapts itself to suit the larger majority of handsets currently in use across South Africa,” adds Saul Kropman, product manager at AML.

Avusa Media LIVE is also proud to announce the launch of World of Parties, a blog almost entirely driven by its users. “The blog was born from the idea of giving SundayWorld.co.za readers a platform from which they could share information about their own upcoming events,” explains General Manager of Avusa Media LIVE, Derek Abdinor. “That initial concept has grown to include an extensive gig guide, a blogger-driven photo album, daily voting polls on everything that is ‘hot or not’, a multimedia section offering exclusive celebrity interviews and an up-to-the-minute Twitter feed direct from @SowetanLIVE and @SundayWorldZA.”
